In addition to using a desktop or portable phone in the office, users with a BeamRing User Plus license can take advantage of either a mobile phone or computer app.

With the help of a headset, the BeamRing Communicator computer app enables users to access the BeamRing cloud phone system from a desktop or laptop computer – great for those that work from home, need to easily type whilst talking or simply don’t require a traditional phone handset.

When the Beaming team sets up BeamRing, User Plus license holders will be sent an email containing a Communicator app download link and another with your log in details. If you’ve misplaced the email with the link, get in touch with our support team and they’ll provide you with the file you need.

Once you have installed the app you’ll be prompted to agree to terms and conditions, then to log in using the details you’ve been provided with. Once you’ve logged in, you’re ready to make and take calls, check your voicemail and more.

BeamRing mobile phone app

The BeamRing mobile phone app turns your smartphone into an extension of your company’s phone system, so you can take, make and field calls in the same way you would in the office, wherever you are.

1. On your mobile phone, open the App Store icon.

2. Search “BeamRing” and choose the BeamRing app from Beaming Ltd.

3. Download the app. When the download is complete open the app and accept the terms and conditions.

4. Log in using the details you have been provided with and you’re ready to go – any calls received on the BeamRing system will ring on both your desk and mobile phone until you answer, and calls made through the app will present as if from your usual workplace phone number.
