Corps Security secures clients with ProtectNet
Broken connectivity is the Achilles heel of the security sector.
To solve this inherent issue, Beaming worked with key industry players to develop the innovative ProtectNet service. For businesses like Corps Security, it protects their network, and, by boosting customer confidence, it also protects their reputation.
Challenges
As the leading supplier of specialist security solutions, Corps Security needed a partner that understood the importance of sustaining optimum levels of security at all times. Maintaining a consistent network is an inherent challenge in the industry, with unstable or unreliable connections the greatest concern. CCTV cameras and Alarm Receiving Centres (ARCs) demand ‘always on’ connectivity. To put it simply: if security isn’t 100% dependable, it’s next to useless. There are also security risks associated with off-site third parties, such as alarm installers and equipment manufacturers, who may need to access the network remotely. Opening up the network could easily expose it to external threats.
It all called for a powerful solution that would provide Corps with the reassurance that their network was sound and was only being accessed by their own people.
Solution
Beaming is a specialist provider for businesses. It means that we’ve built a good understanding of the business and technical aspects of key industries – the security sector being one of them. We developed the ProtectNet service to allow our security clients to do two key things: 1) to access their devices safely, and 2) to enhance the safety of the products they offer to their customers.
This solution has been hatched from many years’ experience of working with the security sector. It guarantees a secure, fast and reliable method of transmission to one or many remote locations.
Sonia Blizzard, Managing Director of Beaming, explains: “Remote access for companies such as Corps Security is vital to the successful running of their services. However, it’s imperative that security is not jeopardised or data and confidential information exposed to external sources. We developed ProtectNet to tackle these issues, by ensuring internet maintenance doesn’t affect service delivery. It also ensures that only authorised staff can access the network. This eliminates risk so data integrity is never compromised, no matter where employees access the network.”
Results
Corps Security’s Director, Bill MacGregor, puts it best: “The ProtectNet solution has allowed us to offer a level of security to clients which goes above and beyond the usual monitoring services, whether for intrusion detection, CCTV or access control. This enhances our reputation as an independent provider of security installations. With Beaming as our connectivity partner, the safety of our customers and their property is assured.”
