Webex with BeamRing

Yes, you can keep your number(s) when you move to BeamRing’s cloud-hosted telephony. Just let us know when you order which numbers you’d like us to port, and we’ll take care of the rest. The great thing about IP telephony is that once you have your number, you can take it with you wherever you go as it’s not tied to a geographical location.

Yes, you can call the emergency services using BeamRing. As with any VoIP phone system, the phone will need to be plugged in to a power source and a working internet connection in order to make a call. Beaming’s business-grade, resilient network is ideal for making sure your phone is always connected.

We can supply an IP to analogue converter which will connect these devices to the IP system so they can still be used without the need for traditional lines. Ask for more information about compatibility of specific devices.

We supply Yealink and Cisco handsets which have been tried and tested with the Webex with BeamRing platform. We know they will provide a clear, secure and reliable experience to meet the demands of business. Whilst other handsets may be compatible we could not guarantee the quality or be sure they support all the features available.

Unlike some analogue systems, with BeamRing you won’t have any issue making simultaneous calls as they all operate over separate lines.

Whilst VoIP uses very little bandwidth, we still recommend reviewing the internet connection your phone system will use.
If your business has superfast broadband, we recommend installing a separate Beaming connection just for BeamRing traffic; this ensures your calls will be of the highest quality. Also, having an end-to-end solution from one provider means there is one point of accountability. Should anything ever go wrong, you only have one contact to deal with and we won’t be dependent on any third parties.

If you have a dedicated fibre leased line, you can use this for your BeamRing system. We may recommend configuring your router to prioritise voice traffic to ensure you always have the best quality calls.

You can make international calls, and if you wish to you can also block calls to international numbers as well as premium rate ones.

The number of calls the BeamRing phone system can handle is limited only by your internet connectivity, and of course the number of user licenses you choose. Typically, a “superfast” broadband connection can handle roughly 20 calls (incoming or outgoing) without suffering a dip in call quality.

Calls to landlines are unlimited and free, as are calls to others using the BeamRing phone system, for example a colleague working in another branch of your business or from home.

Using a hosted-voice system makes the most of your connectivity and to get the best out of your BeamRing cloud voice system, you need to make sure you have reliable connectivity you can trust.

We will survey your premises to select the best connectivity for your voice system.

We require your BeamRing voice to operate via a Beaming connection for the following reasons:

1. We will constantly monitor what’s going on, and if there are any issues we can fix everything as soon as possible.
2. We know it’s easier for businesses to just deal with one supplier, with few points of contact. If you have a problem, you are one call away from the experts who know their stuff and understand your business. You will not be passed around call-centres, but always have your issue dealt with as soon as possible.
3. Beaming connectivity is the best for business (reliable, fast and secure) so will deliver the clearest calls – always.

We don’t provide WiFi based handsets because our IPW56 phone and the BeamRing Communicator app for mobile phones both allow for cordless roaming, doing the same job as a WiFi telephone handsets but at around a third of the price, and without the problems that often present when roaming between wireless access points.

If your analogue system hasn’t been uninstalled you will still be able to make calls from it however you should be aware of some changes.

Your phone number will have been moved over to the BeamRing system, so all outgoing calls from your analogue system will now present a different number.

You cannot receive calls to your original number via the analogue phones.

Your analogue system will not be synchronised with the BeamRing system and calls made to and from the analogue phones will not appear in your BeamRing call history or Voicemail.

Calls from analogue phones will be charged at usual landline rates and are not included in your BeamRing package.
